Even in the pitch black with no questioned asked they could communicate. Actually it is not just one direction thinking to fight, as you can see here Killua himself admitted how fast gon judgment of the situation was So gon as well has his moments and is not just a brute. Gon climbed in next to him, wiggling out of his shirt and pants as well, leaving himself in boxers as he lay next to his best friend. He just saw what happened, decided what he was going to do, and did it, no hesitation. Simply put…two people who love each other unconditionally.
